If your latest applications for health coverage through Pennie or Healthcare.gov either did not give Pennie permission to automatically renew you or the provided permissions have expired, you have until October 12, 2021 to update your application, provide the necessary permission and be automatically renewed into the same plan or similar plan for 2022.
To update your application, follow these steps below:
- Log onto your Pennie application at pennie.com and hit “edit application”
- Go to the “Sign and Submit” tab on the left hand side
- Edit Application to Give Permission for Either 5 Years (“I Agree”) or Some Number of Years (Make sure to agree to attestations and e-sign your modified application!)
- Disregard Any Request for QLE Information: Ignore the “Confirm Event and Shop” blue button on your Member Dashboard if it appears
If you miss this deadline or do not wish to be automatically renewed into your current plan, you will have from November 1, 2021 to January 15, 2022 to shop and enroll in a new plan through Pennie for your 2022 coverage.
