If your latest applications for health coverage through Pennie or Healthcare.gov did not give us permission to automatically renew your eligibility for subsidies or the provided permissions have expired. We will plan to renew you with subsidies, but will require you to provide documentation to verify your income information (your eligibility notice will call this out). NOTE you can
You will still be automatically renewed into the same plan or a similar plan to the one you are using now BUT you will be asked to provide evidence of your income, since we did not have permission to check federal data sources. You can address this and retain your subsidies either by submitting documentation through the system by the deadline (which will be in early 2022) or by editing your application to provide permission for us to check federal sources (see instructions below)!
To update your application, follow these steps below:
- Log onto your Pennie application at pennie.com and hit “edit application”
- Go to the “Sign and Submit” tab on the left hand side
- Edit Application to Give Permission for Either 5 Years (“I Agree”) or Some Number of Years (Make sure to agree to attestations and e-sign your modified application!)
- Disregard Any Request for QLE Information: Ignore the “Confirm Event and Shop” blue button on your Member Dashboard if it appears
