If you received a notice from Pennie in early June indicating that you are eligible for less financial assistance like APTC and/or cost sharing reductions (CSR) than you had been receiving, it is likely because you reported a significant change to your income or your household in your Pennie application. Eligibility for financial assistance is based on several factors, including household income and household size.
Pennie offers the ability to indicate your income for a specific period of time if your income changes during the year to ensure you are receiving the correct amount of financial assistance each month. Make sure to follow the steps below to ensure that you are receiving the correct amount of financial assistance.
First, navigate to “Income Information” on the left-hand side of your application.
Then, navigate to “Income Sources” and indicate the frequency in which you earn that income.
Then, indicate that you do not expect to earn that income for the whole year, and input the anticipated start and end dates of your updated income.
Following these steps will ensure that you receive the correct eligibility for financial assistance each month.
