If you're looking for a health insurance plan for 2021, Pennie has options and we make it easy to browse even before you apply!
- Go to the main Pennie website. where it says “We’re here to help.” If you’re prepared and ready to enroll in health insurance coverage right away, then click on the yellow box “Get Covered” button to the right, shown below:
If you need a little time to familiarize yourself with the steps (which we highly recommend), then click on the blue, rectangular button “Ready to shop?” on the bottom, right hand side of the page “We’re here to help.” as depicted above.
When you click on “Ready to shop?” it will bring you to this page of the Pennie website:

When you click on the yellow “Get Covered” box you are on your way!
- Fill out your household information and birth date(s) of the individuals you're seeking coverage for to browse plans. If you'd like to see if you're eligible for savings, you can enter your annual household income and click Check for Savings. If not, click Browse Plans.
- There is an optional questionnaire you can fill out to help Pennie generate plans for your household. You can either choose to opt out by clicking Skip to View Plans, or go through each question by selecting the appropriate answer and clicking Next.
- You should now see different types of health insurance plans. These are sorted by "Low Expense," "Medium Expense" and "Higher Expense." If you filled out the questionnaire, each plan will tell you if, for example, a prescription medication you entered is covered. You can filter plans by various topics, including by deductible price.
