YES, you can add a new household member to your application, then add them to your existing coverage, or even shop for a new plan through the COVID-19 Enrollment Period by following the steps below. You can do this even if the household member had previously indicated that they were not seeking coverage on your existing Pennie application.
Step 1:
Login to your Pennie account
Step 2:
Update your Pennie application by clicking “Edit Application” under “My applications”.
Step 3
Click “add person” and provide the household member’s information.
Step 4
Click through the rest of your application until you have updated all necessary information and click “continue.”
Step 5
Once your application is completed you will be presented with your 2021 Eligibility Summary. From this screen you can click “Go to My Dashboard.”
Step 6
To complete your application or shop for new plans you can click “Confirm Event and Finalize Plans” from “My Dashboard.”
Step 7
Click the dropdown next to each of the household members
Step 8
From the drop down you will select “2021 COVID-19 Enrollment Period.”
Step 9
Once you have selected “2021 COVID-19 Enrollment Period” you can click continue
Step 10
From “My Dashboard” click “Finalize Plans.”
Step 11
From here you can either add the new member to your existing plan or you can shop for a new plan.
Step 12
Once you have made your plan selections you are ready to sign your application.
